"I just upgraded my
D40 with Nikon D90.
The body is big and we have more controls over than D40. I don?t see much
difference in this new upgrade. Better don?t need to upgrade those who don?t
need more mega pixel & movie feature. I could get good pictures in D40.
They could improve D-movie feature more professional. I see more issues while
recording D-movie (Flickers,Noises,Auto focus,More heat on battery side,more
vibrations) But Still it works good on taking photographs?.
Ok?I read some reviews about this Nikon
D90 camera, and was disheartened. I should have
posted sooner. The err message that comes up with this camera can be taken
care of if you follow the directions. I had the same problem. I was in D.C.
taking pictures and had a great shot with the right light and everything,
but did not get it. My camera locked up. I tried taking the battery out and
replacing it. However, this did not work either. I took it back to the camera
shop I bought it and they gave me the phone number to Nikon customer service.
As a matter of fact, I talked to Nikon customer service while in the store.
Nikon was VERY helpful. They told me to disconnect my lens and put it back
on. VOILA!!! My camera worked again. I came to learn, through reading the
manual, that this camera I had bought has a VR switch with the lens. The manual
says you MUST turn the VR switch on/off while the camera power is ON. If you
do not do this, you will have the problems mentioned throughout the negative
reviews. Although I paid for a VR lens, and never use it now because of this
glitch, I am quite pleased with my photography. I have never taken such great
pictures (well I have just did not get a camera to give me the results the
Nikon D90 Have). So, yes there is a problem and yes I do not use the VR feature,
however I have been taking some excellent pictures since discovering this
and have never had the err problem since!!?.
It is a great deal Nikon
D90 for the overall package. Very ergonomic
and the weight just enough so you can have balance between your shoots and
your movements; for the good feeling of having a nice machine in your hands
which you still can carry almost everywhere.
Features: even though it are not all the features contained
in a D7000 (p.e.); Live View, Metering, enough focal points (on automatic),
etc; increase a lot it?s value.
The combination of this lens and this body allow you to take
serious and professional pictures. If you?ve been looking for a great camera,
not so expensive but good enough to improve your technique, if you are a beginner,
these both together can help you, manual or autofocus, the sense of deep with
this pair is way perfect.
Obviously, the video is no its best feature. If you are looking
for a camera with good video resources, go for a more expensive one. Or even
better, buy a video camera. I already have mine and it is obvious for me,
a DSLR camera won?t ever be a video camera (just different market).
The ISO capabilities in this Nikon
D90 camera, the white balance and the image
quality are huge. If you are the kind of photographer who HATE to use the
"flash", you?ll love this camera. No matter the situation, you can
easy and rapidly change the configuration and get excellent "moments".
