God is always trying to get our attention. It is said that when we pray, God answers us. If you pray with the right motive, God answers you in his own way. Many people do not realize that trust plays a big issue on our outcome. If you think negative about your situation, then you are simply saying that the Lord cannot produce the outcome that you are looking for in life. You have to believe and have faith that whatever it is that you are praying for actually is going to happen for you.
I once prayed for God to give me a business of my own. I was a young twenty five year old man. I was searching for knowledge. I wanted god to show me how I could earn my living as a full time prophet. The Lord did not show me how I could earn money over night. It took me many years before I could see any light to my situation. What helped me was getting a job on the psychic hotline. I found that to be an odd place to work since I was a Christian prophet. However, the churches were not hiring prophets at that time and I wanted to use my gift in order to help people. I knew that if I stayed working at the restaurant, I would be unhappy. I was not working in my gift and I could not use my abilities to help people. Nobody knew that I was a prophetic minister.
I would often sit up late at night asking Jesus to show me how I could serve him in the full time ministry. Little did I know that I could use my gift on the psychic hotline. I went into the job kicking and screaming. I was sad. I didn?t know if I was hearing the voice of the Lord or the voice of the devil. However, as time moved on I realized that my financial situation was getting better and God was providing for all of my needs. God showed me that I could still fulfill my calling in life even though the I did not see any way to do it. My friends all told me that I could never get paid as a prophet. The Lord proved everyone wrong. Jesus showed me a way on how I could use my prophetic gift and earn a living from it. There is nothing greater than being able to do what you feel called to do in life. It just makes you feel like you are fulfilling your life?s purpose. Now I look at myself as being a full time writer. I think that we should always do what we feel called to do in life.
